So just how much does God know beforehand? And just what is determined and orchestrated? Is He ever surprised?
The Falling Leaf And God's Sovereignty

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are numbered. Matthew 10:29-30
Listen to C. H. Spurgeon:
“I believe that every particle of dust that dances in the sunbeam does not move an atom more or less than God wishes – that every particle of spray that dashes against the steamboat has its orbit, as well as the sun in the heavens – that the chaff from the hand of the winnower is steered as the stars in their courses."
"The creeping of an aphid over the rosebud is as much fixed as the march of the devastating pestilence – the fall of leaves from a poplar is as full ordained as the tumbling of an avalanche.” C.H. Spurgeon
What difference does all this knowledge God has make for us? Jesus concluded in Matthew 10:31 with these words:
So don't be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.
