Why we Worship

PSALM 47

Clap your hands, all peoples!
  Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared,
  a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us,
  and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us,
  the pride of Jacob whom he loves.

God has gone up with a shout,
  the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
  Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth;
  sing praises with a psalm!

Why Sing?

God reigns over the nations;
  God sits on his holy throne.
The princes of the peoples gather
  as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
  he is highly exalted!

THEME: Our God is a prayer-hearing God. Prayer is the means by which we commune with God and he with us. And the essentials of prayer are found in the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples.

Lyrics | Description

Our Father in heaven
Hallowed be your name
Your kingdom come, your will be done
Magnify your name
In all the earth
Let every tongue declare
Your matchless worth
Your awesome deeds proclaim
HALLOWED BE
HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME

We look to you daily
All-knowing God provide
Forgive our debts as we forgive
Though our faith be tried
We humbly pray
Keep us from Satan's pow'r
In every way
Your name be glorified
HALLOWED BE
HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME

Creation groans
Waiting that coming day
When rival thrones
Are finally put to shame
Then we will see
Heaven and earth combined
Your name will be
The one and only name
HALLOWED BE
HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME
