Why we Worship

PSALM 47

Clap your hands, all peoples!
  Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared,
  a great king over all the earth.
He subdued peoples under us,
  and nations under our feet.
He chose our heritage for us,
  the pride of Jacob whom he loves.

God has gone up with a shout,
  the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Sing praises to God, sing praises!
  Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King of all the earth;
  sing praises with a psalm!

Why Sing?

God reigns over the nations;
  God sits on his holy throne.
The princes of the peoples gather
  as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God;
  he is highly exalted!

Lyrics | Description

Come all who from your hearts believe

that Jesus answers prayer

Come boldly to a throne of grace

and claim His promise there

That if His love in us abide

and we in Him are one

Whatever in His name we ask

it surely will be done

If in the fountain filled with blood

our sins are washed away

Come boldly to a throne of grace

rejoicing that we may

Come boldly to a throne of grace

and bless the Lord our King

Who fills our grateful hearts with praise

and makes our tongues to sing

From every moment day or night

that's spent in fervent prayer

We find the strength to fight the fight

when God has met us there

So now with true believing hearts

we bow before His throne

There's not a promise He has made

but we may call our own
