Praising God

Purpose: |
History is filled with passionate words of praise from believers to our redeeming God. This script incorporates the value of that praise to enliven our worship today, here and now.
Commentary: | Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess his name. Hebrews 13:15
Adam broke out in poetry when he saw what God had created in Eve. Moses and Miriam did the same as they recalled their deliverance at the Red Sea. Hannah was anointed to pray in the Spirit on the occasion of the dedication of her anticipated child, as she gave Samuel to the Lord for His service. Deborah and Barak composed and sang a song of victory, reciting the "righteous acts of the Lord." Judges 5
On and on it goes, book after book. The praise is nonstop. The Bible is full of such offerings. And Revelation is not the end, it is merely the beginning. And all throughout church history, believers have found ways to add to that praise. Some praise lasts, being exalted it seems, with the inspiration of heaven seemingly its Author.
When we add their praise to ours, we create a symphony of the ages. Soon our voices will fill the heavens for eternity. Let's get a head start on it now, and join past, present and future in one mighty chorus to our Great Redeeming and Reconciling God.
